After you have used at least Spiralight and meditated on the Great Silence as instructed in the Zerolight/Spiralight meditation, the next level is a meditation on the Pole Star, Polaris, while using either Spacius or Astralight. This is an ancient tradition used all over the world, but I don't think it had been used to profound effect by many not using some sort of alchemical preparation. Everything above Spiralight is very closely associated with the Pole Star.

Polaris can be located by following the two stars that form the right side of the cup of the Big Dipper if you were viewing it with the handle on the left and the cup on the right, and the cup being more or less upright. Those two stars point pretty much directly at Polaris by rotating around it year ‘round. Go out on a clear night and locate it. It’s not particularly bright, but you’ll know that there’s pretty much only one candidate. Familiarize yourself with it to whatever extent feels right. The entire night sky in the Northern Hemisphere rotates around that star. It describes only a 1 or so degree circle, so little does it move. I think it’s only 2 degrees off of the Earth’s pole axis, so Earth’s rotational axis points pretty much right at it.

After you’ve done that, and after you’ve done the other meditation and used Spiralight for at least three or four days, in whatever room or space outside you prefer to meditate, set up a chair with your back towards the north. Do the invocation. There is a chakra at the back of the head right above the curvature of the skull. Many of you have probably noticed that there is some sensation there. When you’re seated and have done the invocation, close your eyes and visualize connecting that chakra with the Pole Star with some sort of light filament. As with the mantra meditations, use the Pole Star as the mantra. In other words, if your mind wanders, return it gently to the Pole Star.
